Epson EB-W10 Review

Epson EB-W10 Widescreen Projector Review

Epson have long been the number one brand in the world of projectors and with releases like the EB-W10 it's not a surprise. They have been a little lazy with this one and just improved an already great projector (the EB-W8). The brightness is the major improvement at 2600 lumens allowing for presentations in bright rooms. They have combined this with a High res widescreen WXGA resolution to give you a more detailed image and of course this makes it easier to setup with the laptops and PC's all going widescreen as well.

The widescreen resolution will also make it better for multipurpose use where you can get a lot more out of movies and sports. Combined with the 2000:1 contrast ratio it will give you deep colour's and black levels making the W10 a good all rounder.

When it comes to the connectivity they have loaded it up with the newer HDMI connector, a VGA that also doubles as a component connector via an adapter, S-video, and composite(with Composite audio). But as a standout they have also included a USB (A) connector for direct PC-Free presentations via memory stick (JPEG images only) and a USB (B) connector for quick and easy PC connection saving you fiddling with laptop settings.

With automatic keystone the EB-W10 setup is a little easier and it also has an instant off function so there's no need to wait around for a lengthy cool down process. Lamp life is quite good too with a 4000 hour lamp life on high brightness mode and 5000 hour lamp life on eco mode. A small carry case is included and at only 2.3kg the W10 won't take an iron man to lug it around. All in all a great projector with a solid set of features by a renowned brand we're more than happy to recommend the EB-W10.
