Epson EB-W18 Widescreen Projector Review

In business projectors the EB-W18 really makes a splash with the HD widescreen resolution a high brightness picture and a raft of features that leaves the competition in its dust.

The EB-W18 has the widescreen WXGA resolution making it easy to use with all the modern laptops and tablets which have been widescreen for years. This HD resolution also means that even fine lines and detailed presentations come up clear and crisp.

The 3000 lumen brightness level ensures the W18 is great in a lit room while the 10,000:1 contrast ratio from the revamped auto iris means you get good dark shades and strong colours. The W18 comes with a carry case and only weighs 2.4kg making for an easy to move portable unit but it can be installed on a universal mount for more permanent fixing.

Epson have included vertical keystone correction which is pretty common but also horizontal keystone correction which is very rare to see in a sub $1000 projector. The combination of the two allows you to project in some of the most restricted environments. With optional wireless the EB-W18 ads extra flexibility whether installing or using it as a portable unit. Again rare to see in a sub $1k projector.

With HDMI, USB, VGA and even the more traditional Composite and S-video connections the EB-W18 is a versatile machine. A Long lamp life of 6000 hours and replacements at only $99 mean the EB-W18 projector is a low cost unit all in all a great buy!
